Micro Electronics - April 2009
Background:
Micro Electronics is a small intimate company based in Farnborough, Hampshire, which employs 15 staff.
The company primarily repairs coin mechanisms for the Gaming and Amusement industries, but also repairs LCD and Plasma screens, Monitors, Power Supplies, Personal Computers, Barcode Scanners, Note Readers and Game Boards.
Jenrick, through Account Manager Neil Burchett, has just made their first placement with this client recruiting a permanent Electronics Engineer for the company.
The client had initially tried to recruit for the position themselves, advertising the vacancy in the local paper. They only received a very limited response and after interviewing six candidates, were unable to find a strong applicant for the role.
This unfortunately took them over 8 weeks and cost them hundreds of pounds in advertising costs.
Due to the fact that it was a crucial hire for the business and that they needed to fill the role ASAP, they gladly received the call from Neil and welcomed the assistance of Jenrick to recruit for the role.

The candidate was offered the position and started on the 17th of March – within just 12 days of Neil becoming aware of the position.
