Engineering Manager
Food / FMCG

Salary: £32-35K + benefits

Are you an experienced Engineering Manager with a background in the Food or FMCG industry, looking for an exciting new challenge. Working for a leading manufacturer in the Yorkshire area, with over 25 years experience in their field, offering a competitive salary plus benefits including pension and health care etc.

Working for this superior production facility, employing over 600 personnel in the UK, specialising in the manufacture of food products directly into many major high street retailers and foodservice sector, this company:

The suitable candidate will have the following skills and be able to demonstrate their application in previous job roles:-

* Background in Food Manufacturing or FMCG
* Engineering Manager with comprehensive experience of planned preventative maintenance
* Experienced in Developing progressive maintenance techniques and continuous improvement activities
* Essential people skills to motivate and lead people and drive change

In addition, it would be beneficial to have:

* Project Management Experience
* Experience of managing engineering teams
* IOSHH/NEBOSH qualified
* Effective Change Agent
* Analytical skills and Detail Conscious

The role:

* Providing engineering services that deliver plant related and engineering KPIs.
* Responsible for developing a team of maintenance engineers, building their capabilities and competencies by using a coaching and mentoring approach
* Driving Continuous Improvements, identifying Capital Investment Requirements and delivering capital projects.
* Plant Reliability Improvements to ensure plant is capable of meeting/exceeding throughput targets and delivering quality products to specification
* Continuous Improvement Initiative throughout the year
* Health & Safety champion - promoting a pro-active culture to H&S in all engineering activities
* Budgetary Control, Asset Care and Project Installations
