A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Resident Maintenance Manager to join a market leading Logistics and Distribution business based in the Castle Donington area.

THE ROLE

The Resident Maintenance Manager is the person who is ultimately responsible for all of the Maintenance Team activities on the Site, Your key responsibilities are…
Effective Maintenance Team Management;, you will Develop, Motivate and Manage a top performing on-site Maintenance team in support of the business requirements.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the measured team performances are within the allowable limits, such that „penalties and failure to perform clauses" are not invoked.
A key part to your role will be manage multiple project and budgets ensuring all deadlines and timescales are met and not exceeded. You will soley be responsible to
ensure that the Plant, Maintenance Systems and processes are maintained in line with the legal requirements and to the company's technical standards. You must have the ability to manage, establish and maintain an effective and trusting relationship between the Client's and the Contractor's Management team
You must ensure all health and Safety legislations and policies and up to date and adhered to at all times.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of managing a large department of 30 or more ranging through engineers, team leaders and supervisors with a minimum of 5 years. It would be advantages if the individual had gained experience in starting up or developing a business or department from scratch.
The Successful applicant will have a background in managing within busy Engineering / Technical business . (Ideally Static Storage, Material Handling Equipment, logistics or distribution). You must have knowledge of Contract and client management, "Navision" business system software or similar (SAP, ERP) and will ideally have knowledge of IT, PLC and mechanical or electrical systems.
