ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR

This is an exciting opportunity for an Engineering supervisor to join a leading food supplier. The role is based at their state of the art facility in Hull and offers an attractive salary plus benefits.

The ideal candidate will have management experience within a food environment and will have a hands on approach and meticulous attention to detail.

KEY ACTIVITIES


* Maintenance and improvements of all site services
* Working closely with other departments
* Achieving the agreed KPI's
* Managing a team of mechanical and electrical engineers who operate on shifts
* Supervision of sub-contractors and service providers
* Install, maintain and improve plant and machinery
* Preparation of risk assessments, technical files and other documents required by safety legislation and procedures
* Identify, implement and maintain records appertaining to the PPM schedule for all existing and new equipment.
* Coordinate timing of maintenance
* Assist in identification and commissioning of new plant equipment
* Preparation of designs/ line layouts to effectively meet operational requirements
* Manage maintenance budgets for the site
* Implement and maintain reporting procedures to demonstrate continuous improvement and KPI achievement.
* Co-ordinate Engineering aspects of H & S and hygiene requirements of Factory and site machinery.
* Co-ordinate and maintain machine compliance
* Maintain machine maintenance standards



SAFETY

* Performance Measures -accident free days, accident statistics / lost time, safety & housekeeping audits.
* Safety training provided and recorded
* Safety checks regularly carried out and problems dealt with quickly
* Accident Investigations carried out immediately.
* Issue Permits to Work and sign off when work complete
* High standard of factory cleanliness and housekeeping maintained
* Employee safety / housekeeping behaviour monitored and corrected where necessary
* Co-ordination of training activity and record keeping


The role of the engineering supervisor will require someone who will be an integral part of the team and be willing to participate in all aspects of the engineering division
