Assistant Technical Manager - North West London - WN/HQ32270

Job Description:
Operating within a high speed manufacturing environment, we are looking to recruit an Assistant Technical Manager and in return you will benefit from a fast paced/challenging environment, supported working environment, training and continued development opportunities.

Your duties will be:-

·Work closely with the site technical manager in developing new standards.
·Organising and managing the work activities of the QA and for both low & high care areas.
·Assist with the management of the Technical, Hygiene and Quality Assurance activities and procedures necessary and appropriate to ensure compliance with Company, customer and legal requirements.
·Manage the internal auditing schedule ensuring full compliance by the technical team.
·Attend daily operations meeting.
·Attend weekly QA meeting.
·Managing the customer complaint database - developing communication lines to production ensuring all staff aware of complaints - developing action plans with production staff to prevent reoccurrence.
·Develop & implement training programmes for key departments.
·Maintain holiday, absence and sickness data for QA team.
·Assisting in the management of the pest control service- ensuring full compliance of the contract.

Hours:- Sunday - Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm/5:30pm

Salary/Benefits/Holiday:- £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, 33 days holiday including bank holidays and bonus scheme.

Location:- North West London


To be considered candidates must have the following:-

·A minimum of 3 years Technical/Quality Assurance management experience, ideally gained within a major chilled food manufacturing business
·A food science degree or related equivalent is required.
·Experience in managing a team with an ability to motivate and deputise
·Experience in dealing with EFSIS/BRC
