Job Description:
We are recruiting for a Controls and Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer to carry out a site based role around the UK and internationally. The role will cover both commission and design modifications and will be based from the Cambridgeshire site.
THE ROLE:
The role will predominately be commissioning but 20% of the role will be dedicated to design; Drawing prescribed designs, modification on drawings and the production of documentation & site reports.
You will be required to travel to sites throughout the UK and at times abroad (6-7 times p/y) working on the controls aspect of the product the company manufacture.
You will work with a range of PLC's including; Mitsubishi, Siemens, Schneider but other knowledge will be acceptable.
Knowledge or experience of the following will all be pertinent to the role:
- IEC 61131 programming standards
- 3 & Single phase electrics
- HMI & SCADA Systems
- Knowledge of PID Control loops.
- PLC Ladder logic and Fault finding
THE CANDIDATE:
Candidates who are Practically minded, Eager to learn and grow, adaptable and flexible would be preferred as would the following attributes:
- The ability to diagnose faults on PLC systems (Ladder logic etc)
- Experience of Industrial Electrical installation
- Controls and Instrumentation experience.
- Knowledge of ATX Power connecting
- HNC/HND in Electrical engineering
