Are you an experienced Project Engineer or Design Engineer with a desire to develop a career path into commercial revenue-generating projects? Working alongside Project Managers, this exciting opportunity needs someone with a background in the design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers or process plant for oil and gas, chemical, powergen industries.
Working for a leading manufacturer in the Poole area, supplying the Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Petrochemical, Chemical industries, this company:

The suitable candidate will have the following skills and be able to demonstrate their application in previous job roles:-
* Project Engineer or Design Engineer from a metal/alloys manufacturing environment, preferably within energy, power generation, oil and gas, chemical and process industries
* Knowledge of heat exchangers and/or pressure vessel codes and oil company requirements would be an advantage
* Experience in project management including commercial project responsibility would be a distinct advantage
* Competent in the use of Autocad and Microsoft Office
* Able to liaise with all departments from sales, engineering, quality etc
* Excellent communication skills, able to undertake occasional travel within the UK and overseas and liaise directly with a broad range of international customers
* HND/Degree or equivalent
The role will ensure the successful completion of customer projects on schedule and within budget, and will:-
* Monitor projects against specified schedule and budget targets
* Act as the main contact with customers and involvement in customer and inspection visit meetings
* Produce design details and layouts, organise production drawings and liaise with operations to ensure the most cost effective method of manufacture
* Manage all project documentation including issuing invoices, project reports, submitting supplier documents, and design documents for approval
* Monitor purchasing activities to ensure delivery schedules are met
* Monitor manufacturing activities resolving any non-conformances etc
