Lead HA Manager / Assistant Technical Manager

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the QA function throughout the site and will work closely with the Technical Manager to achieve continuous improvement with the quality and technical function. Excellent man-management and quality systems management skills are a pre-requisite for this role.
In order to qualify, you will have at least five years QA / Technical experience gained within the food industry. Knowledge and experience in the following areas will be a distinct advantage.
Ø Experience of quality assurance in a fast moving production environment within the food industry.
Ø Ability to manage, motivate and develop the QA Team.
Ø Educated ideally to degree level or equivalent in Food Science or a similar discipline.
Ø Problem solving and investigative skills - demonstrating route cause analysis, and problem prevention.
Ø Thorough knowledge of HACCP.
Ø Excellent computer skills
0 Must have worked with Poultry/ Red Meat industry before
Visits to suppliers, customers and other company sites will be a requirement of this role therefore a full driving licence is essential.
