Are you an Automotive Project Engineer with a background in new product introduction projects, interested in a challenging new contract role?

The Job:-
*Responsible for defining the correct level of process control through Process Flow, P-FMEA, Control Plans, and confirm the process through the analysis of capability studies and checks
*Defining long term plans and actions to reduce leak and scrap ratios benchmarking best practice, including component tolerance analysis
*Perform annual PFMEA reviews and review against quality concerns
*Maintain long term capacity plans, factory layout to optimise material flow
*Create detail specifications for machinery and project manage the introduction of new equipment, materials, suppliers etc. This will include visiting suppliers mainly in the UK to sign off machinery, and seeing through to on site commissioning and capability studies to ensure machines are fit for purpose
*Analyse and compare in house manufacturing to outsourcing
*Define long term kaizen plans on existing processes, and monitor achievement
*Identify and implement net time improvement plans and confirm work configuration
The Suitable Candidate:-
*Experienced Project Engineer from an Automotive New Product Introduction background
*Experience in PFMEA's and Control Plans, long term planning and managing all project paperwork
*Demonstrable experience in cost reductions
*Able to analyse how to build a part, and identify any possible problems that could occur, and implement countermeasures
*Experience in capacity planning, material flow analysis, process / production line design
*Team player with a professional approach and ability to listen to, and communicate at all levels.
*Self starter with practical problem solving and fault finding skills
