Are you a Purchasing Manager from a heavy engineering background with experience in buying steel, materials and equipment, looking for a new challenge?

Working for a growing, established company based in South Yorkshire, offering a salary c30-40K plus benefits and opportunity for career progression to a high level depending on performance and results.

Working for a company with a long established history of excellence in their field, specialising in design and project management, through to manufacture and on site installation. The company:-

* Have been established over 35 years
* Has a large and well equipped manufacturing facility, providing a fully comprehensive service
* Extensive range of services from one off bespoke applications to full turnkey projects, from £2K to £2M
* Current strategy to increase customer portfolio and move towards more specialist niche markets

The suitable candidate will have the following skills and be able to demonstrate their application in previous job roles:-

* Senior Purchasing professional
* From a heavy mechanical engineering background or materials handling
* Extensive background in the purchasing of materials, steel plate, sections, sprockets and gears etc
* Qualified to Degree level or equivalent, or a relevant purchasing qualification
* Team Player and good communicator at all levels

The role:-

* Reports directly to the Operations Director, responsible for the day to day operation and control of the purchasing department comprising 1 Buyer
* Working closely with the Production teams, managing a spend of approximately £3 million, with growth expectation
