The Suitable Candidate:-

*HND or Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineer or equivalent
*Experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background producing designs and engineering calculations
*From a Mechanical, Fabrications, Structural, Steelwork background, ideally with experience in steelwork design including connections and fabrication detailing.
*CAD experience is ideal, Autocad, Solidworks
*Knowledge of TEDDS and STAAD structural analysis software is advantageous but training can be given
*Hands on individual happy to work as part of a small team

The Role:-

*Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, working in an Engineering Department of approximately 15 people, alongside Project Engineers, Proposals Engineers etc
*Responsible for ensuring the steelwork requirements on projects go into production through the on site fabrication facility, and approved suppliers
*Supporting Project Engineers during concept stages and on site risk assessments
*Producing detailed calculations and detail drawings and designs of large fabrications
*Current projects include work for the Powergen Industry, installing generators and turbines; and relocating a crusher in a copper mine in South America
