Job Description:
We are recruiting for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. The company is world leader in the manufacture of plastic products has an exciting opportunity to work alongside an established team carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs.
THE ROLE
Working on either a continental shift basis or possibly 3 shift system, you will attend machine breakdowns, diagnose defects, make repairs, evaluate results and participate in continuous improvement projects.
You will be working on a variety of Injection Moulding machinery and plastic production processes including printing and packaging machinery carrying out fault finding from switches and contacts to PLC inputs and outputs.
THE CANDIDATE
- You will have a recognised apprenticeship with an electrical bias and formal electrical engineering qualifications. Mechanical experience will be seen as an advantage but the role will be predominately electrical based.
- You MUST have previously worked in the manufacture of plastics with a very good understanding of Injection moulding processes used in an automated production environment.
- You will be an enthusiastic Pro-active engineer with a positive attitude and have the ability to spot and recommend process improvement or preventative solutions.
- Experience of basic fault finding on PLC's (Inputs / Output) will be a distinct advantage (mostly Omron with some Mitsubishi).
