Job Description:
Role: Graduate Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Crawley, Surrey
Basic Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum plus 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays) however rises to a maximum of 25 days in length of service, Pension Scheme, Private healthcare and Life assurance - after qualifying period.

Operating within this global market leading business, we are now actively recruiting a Graduate Design Engineer to join a pro-active & forward thinking design department responsible for managing quick turn around projects which includes leasing with customers, taking production orders, working on existing drawings and making amendments to suite the needs of the customer. You may also have the opportunity to progress or take part in designing new bespoke designs for customers.

You will be working to deadlines of 3 to 4 weeks so it is paramount you are able to plan, prioritise and optimise your time and able to work under pressure.

To be considered candidates need the following:-

Degree qualified or graduating in 2010 in Mechanical Engineering
Design package experience any of the following AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, Catia, Solid Edge and Pro Engineer etc
Career motivated
Have an interest in Manufacturing
Can relocate if required

Advantage:-

Have experience working within a manufacturing/industrial environment (this could be from a placement/sandwich year).
Hobbies to include Engineering i.e. cars, computers, remote control planes/helicopters, building of radios or electronic equipment etc
