When I joined Jenrick (in October 2006) I was coming from a career in payroll and accounts, so I have to admit that I was not quite sure was I was letting myself in for. The job and the working environment have both proved to be so much fun. I’m fortunate that my days are often very different, plus, I’ve been able to regularly add to my responsibilities so that I’m continually challenging myself and learning all the time.
I still remember the first time I met Alec (Branch Manager). Even at that interview he was keen to introduce me to the team and I could immediately see why. Each one of them took an interest in who you were and why you were applying for the role. From that moment I just really hoped I was offered the job!
I am a huge supporter of our local hospice (The Phyllis Tuckwell in Farnham) and I volunteer as an evening receptionist on a regular basis which I find very rewarding. In 2009 they celebrated their 30th Anniversary - hence the balloon! www.phyllistuckwellhospice.org.
