Role: Mechanical Project Design Engineer
Area: Midlands
Salary: up to £30,000+ Bonus and Benefits

Duties
Working closely with the electrical design team and production departments through to product manufacture
Continue design and development of existing and new products
Production of manufacturing instructions for sheet metal and copper bar assemblies
Production of manufacturing general assembly, sub assembly and piece part drawings using AutoCAD for the manufacture of equipment both in house and external suppliers

Qualifications / Experience
HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Significant post apprenticeship experience in a Low Voltage Switchgear / MCC / control panel manufacturing environment
Fully PC literate
An understanding of electrical engineering principles
Experience of light gauge sheet metal work fabrication and manufacture of HDHC copper busbars systems and parts
Experience of modern fabrication equipment and techniques
Experience of implementation / use of 3D CAD software would be an advantage
