Are you an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer with a background in the Food or FMCG industry, looking for an exciting new challenge. Working for a leading manufacturer in the Wigan area this is an opportunity for a forward thinking, outgoing experienced Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to cover for a 3 months (could go on longer) period.. We are looking to pay an hourly rate of £20 per hour as a limited rate for working 12 hours days and nights over a continental pattern.

The suitable candidate will have the following skills and be able to demonstrate their application in previous job roles-
· Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased).
· Experience in planned preventative maintenance and progressive maintenance techniques.
· Ideally from a Food production environment i.e. ovens, x-ray equipment, packaging etc.
· Experience in PLC fault finding (not programming) ideally Mitsubishi and Siemens
· Ideally 16th or 17th Edition Regs
· Self motivated, ambitious engineer looking for progression, able to drive forward plant improvements and improve reliability.
. Has the ability to faultfind and interrogation on PLC Systems including inputs and outputs etc
. Controls/Systems background
The role
· Reports to the Engineering Manager
· Working in a maintenance team of 4 personnel plus Team Leader
· Working on continental 12 hour shift pattern
· Ideally carrying out more proactive planned preventative maintenance, and less reactive maintenance and fire fighting if possible
· PLC fault finding and diagnosis, and supervising mechanically biased engineers during electrical PLC issues.

Working for a company specialising in the design and manufacture of precision products for a variety of sectors including automotive, marine, motorsport, aerospace

The Company:

*Employs over 500 people across 3 manufacturing facilities in the UK
*Provides customers with innovative, technologically advanced products

The Role:

*Working initially on a 8 week fixed term temporary contract, with a view to possible contract extension on completion, or possibly even permanent employment
*Preparing composite material
*Reading engineering drawings
*Laminating composite parts ready to be moulded into the final component
*Reporting to the Works Foreman, working as part of a multi disciplined team on a site employing 50 people

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

The Suitable Candidate:

*Experience of Laminating is essential, from a Composite Material Manufacturing background
*Strong engineering background, meaning you will have a good understanding of general manufacturing principles
*Hands on manual worker, who is self motivated, and a hard worker
*GCSE, A Levels or equivalent educational standard

Mornings & Afternoon Shift
(37 hours per week + potential overtime)

Are you an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, available immediately, interested in working for a leading international supplier of engineering components, on a minimum 6 month contract?

* Experience in CNC lathes and machining centres, injection moulding machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, power presses, hydromats, multi spindle autos, cnc rotary transfer machines
* Proven track record in problem solving on production equipment
* Able to work at heights and be physically able
* Health and Safety improvements, PPM of production equipment, improvements, modifications, cost reductions

The role:-

* Reporting to the Maintenance Cell Leader
* Planned Preventative Maintenance on production equipment
* Breakdown maintenance, Improvements and Modifications
* Use of measuring equipment (DTI, micrometer, multimeter etc)
