BOC Micro Cylinders – Oct 2008
Background:
BOC Micro Cylinders is part of BOC which was established 120 years ago and has sites throughout the UK. Micro Cylinders were established in Leatherhead in 2002 after moving from the pilot plant in Morden. In 2006 BOC & Linde combined to become the Linde Group.
The company is a supplier of a full range of supply options - compressed, small volume liquid, bulk and on-site generation. Comprehensive range of gases including Industrial gases, Medical gases, Scientific gases.
Jenrick Engineering started working with BOC in April 2007, supplying staff into the Leatherhead office (which has around 30 employees), placing a contract Process Technician who was then taken on permanently.
Jonathan Lee joined Jenrick in June 2008 and has developed a strong partnership with BOC, building rapport through open communication with the line managers.
Jon has successfully placed two Process Technicians, a Process Operative and a Warehouse & Site Operative in the last three months.
Jon’s placement success was due to several factors, in particular his visit to the site to ensure he fully understood the working environment. During this visit Jon met the relevant line managers and therefore gained a deep understanding of the business, the particular skills they required and the type of personality fit they desired.
Jon subsequently substantially reduced the amount of time BOC spent on recruitment by pre-screening all candidates before submission.
Jon is currently recruiting for an additional three positions to support business growth requirements of the company.
