I became the Branch Manager of Burton in May 2006, bringing with me 18 years of experience in Technical recruitment.
I realised that it was going to be a massive challenge to develop the branch to the level expected, but I could see that the company was large, stable and importantly, committed to long-term development and expansion.
From a personal viewpoint, this is clearly the best company I have ever worked with. It was no surprise to me at all that we were ranked 18th in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For (2007) and I hope that we achieve an even higher figure in future years!
I just want to reassure you all that I am not actually in my work outfit here! Every weekend I’m off to my local Kickboxing club. It’s something I’ve done for several years now and I’ve even managed to convince my daughters to take it up.
