Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with Solidworks
Area: Hampshire
Salary: circa £45,000+ bonus and excellent Benefits package
International company who are world leaders in the field of communications are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, to work within a design team, creating new designs in luxury goods that can be manufactured to a very high quality level. This will involve close working with other departments and with the vendors. The team start from concept ideas and take the design through to manufacture.
The successful candidate will be responsible for specifying, planning, reporting, designing and supplier support in his/her project area.
Works in a product creation project with responsibility of specifying multiple components for a product. Solves complex engineering problems. Typically participates in reviews of own or neighbouring projects.
The key tasks will be responsibility of own sub-area outcome. Defines the necessary tasks to meet objectives, set by the project/team leader, applying the product process as well as the existing design instructions.
Awareness of how own work can be improved.
Requirements:
- Typically 4-6 years relevant experience, fully competent.
- Experience with Catia v4 or Solidworks - The use of Catia 5 would be an advantage but not essential.
- Uses functionally specific knowledge. Degree in Design Engineering.
